HSC STD2 Networks Update

The SmarterMaths HSC question database in the Standard 2 course is a database which will adapt (very quickly!) to best practice and feedback.

Recent adjustments to our Std2 Networks database has included the following changes:

• Minimum Cut questions deemed to be at too high a difficulty level have been removed.
• Notwithstanding the above, we have retained a number of harder examples which test students’ conceptual understanding of cuts that involve “reverse flows” (i.e. from sink to source) which is specifically mentioned in the topic guidance.

The new HSC syllabus content presents unique and challenging problems when building a quality question database.

When we get expert feedback from knowledge workers on the front line, our database will be quickly adjusted to reflect their insights.
